How do contractors sign up for the Plan?

Call toll free 1-800-526-6636 to request a Dealer Agreement Form and New Dealer Information Sheet. Complete and mail both forms to:

TAW, Inc.
Eastway Plaza
1899 Tate Blvd., Suite 2110
Hickory, NC 28602

TAW will validate the Dealer Agreement, confirm your labor rates and send you a signed copy of the Dealer Agreement with your exclusive dealer number.

TAW will send you:

1. Consumer Brochures
2. Plan Applications
3. Literature Order Forms

The Plan must be applied to products within 1 year of installation. The Plan Application must be processed by TAW within 1 year of installation. The Plan Application for a previously installed product must be accompanied by a copy of the original “bill of sale” (or other document) verifying the date of installation.

On all products, coverage begins from the date of installation, NOT the date the Plan is purchased.

How are contractor LABOR costs covered?

Your normal service/labor rates will be paid. Rates are agreed upon when you sign up for the Plan based on industry standards for your area, and you may request an adjustment annually by submitting an updated dealer agreement.

Labor coverage begins 60 DAYS after installation, provided the Plan Application is received by TAW within 7 days after the product is installed. For Plan Applications received after the 7-day period, labor coverage begins 60 days after receipt of application if the application is accepted by TAW.

Cast iron boiler sections are covered by Weil-McLain’s Limited Lifetime Warranty for Residential Water Boilers or Limited 10-Year Warranty for Residential Steam Boilers as appropriate. Labor invoices for cast iron sections will be paid only after Weil-McLain has determined - through normal Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) channels - that the section is defective. The RGA number must be included on cast iron replacement labor invoices. Labor invoices for sections determined non-defective will be denied.

What’s not covered?

Any system, component, or item that is not directly part of the product as supplied by Weil-McLain or as previously listed.

1. Repairs to the product attributable to causes outside the boiler, burner, or water heater.
2. Liming, sooting, corrosion.
3. Normal equipment maintenance and cleaning.
4. Improper installation.
5. Drive, diagnostic, and dismantling time.
6. Other exceptions as defined in the Dealer Agreement or Protection Plan Terms & Conditions.
