Job Description:
Commercial Laundry, The Resort has over 300 hotel rooms, a convention center, and 3 restaurants.
When the hotel opened this spring they found the installed domestic water heating system
(Four 100 gallon, 240,000 BTU commercial water heaters) supplied only a fraction of what they needed.
Weil-McLain Equipment:
(5) Ultra 310 boilers and (6) Plus 119 water heaters. This system produces 1512 gallons of 160°F water per hour with storage of 714 gallons. The temperature gauges of the commercial washers never drop below 160°.
Special Circumstances:
To meet the demand the water heater manufacturer had proposed adding (8) 100 gallon, 240,000 BTU commercial gas
water heaters (for a total of 12) and (4) 350 gallon storage tanks. Space considerations aside piping, wiring, and venting
would have been a challenge.
