Energy Star Boilers

In 1992 the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) introduced ENERGY STAR as a voluntary labeling program designed to identify and promote energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These products deliver the same or better performance as comparable models while using less energy and saving money. ENERGY STAR qualified boilers have an annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) rating of 85% or greater.
